She was among many children to have played with Barney, the infamous anthropomorphic pink dinosaur. Selena participated in the show's the seasons 7 and 8. Between 2001 and 2003, she was a part of the cast. Selena Gomez was not the only performer to be featured on Barney and His Friends from 2001 to the year 2003. Demi Lorvato joined the cast too. Selena Gomez, after she had left the series auditioned unsuccessfully for several movies and television shows. There was a small role in Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3D Game Over) in 2003.
