Hayley Orrantia (born in the year 1996) is an American actress, singer and songwriter. The most famous of her characters is Erica Goldberg who stars in The Goldbergs, the comedy television show. But, she is primarily an artist. Music is always been her primary love. At the age 12 she was taking serious enough about music to start professional training. The singer-songwriter began writing songs at 13 and was 14 when she released her debut album of covers songs. It has been non-stop ever since. Orrantia, born in America, has Hispanic heritage. Although she was raised speaking exclusively English and never lived in Mexico she's extremely satisfied with her Hispanic culture. By learning Spanish and writing songs, she is trying to keep the culture alive. One of her songs was a Spanish song titled 'Hasta Verte..' Orrantia was selected to audition for the X Factor's inaugural season, which aired in summer 2011. Orrantia was chosen out of an YouTube video submission and received the judges' four "yes" votes from the judge at the time of live auditions in Seattle, Washington. The first time she auditioned, she was performing as a solo artist, however following "Hollywood Week", three other female performers were placed in groups to take part in the auditions. The group was eliminated at final show.
